The role of the oil pump is to pressurize the oil in the sump to the oil filter and lubricant channels to lubricate the engine's major moving parts and to filter the oil.
When the engine is working, the oil pump works continuously to ensure that the oil is constantly circulating in the lubricating oil circuit. In a variety of engine conditions, the oil pump should ensure the supply of sufficient lubricating oil. As the speed of the oil pump is proportional to the engine speed, low speed oil pump oil supply capacity is the worst. Therefore, the design should consider the oil pump in the low speed when there is enough oil supply.
